“My life had always been surrounded by negativity; the Academy allowed me to take control of my life and gave me the encouragement and ambition to take the path that makes me who I am today.
My time at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy really allowed me to express myself and learn who I am and what I am capable of achieving. Being surrounded by like minded; driven individuals gave me the support and motivation I needed at the time.
The business and life experiences I learned whilst at the Academy really prepared me for all aspects of life. The support, discipline and knowledge I received in the two years I was there helped me to run the everyday operations of my business. Being part of such an elite programme not only makes me feel like I was part of something special, it also helps to be taken seriously in the world of business; a place where young people are often underestimated.”
At present, Louis runs a company for young people called ‘We Are What’s Good’ which is a future platform for online entertainment and young talent. The website provides young people with greater opportunity and awareness of the latest information and news relevant to them, thereby helping them to interact and develop their skills within their community. In 2012 ‘We Are What’s Good’ was shortlisted (1 of 4) for the Growing Business Awards as the Young Star of Enterprise. As well as running his business, Louis is currently writing a motivational book for young people entitled ‘Miracle Child’. The book puts in plain words how each and every one of us is a miracle from the moment we’re born – thus we all have the prospects to achieve their individual goals. Louis draws from the themes of his book to deliver talks at schools and colleges to inspire and encourage young people to achieve their goals and dreams.
